Common Name The Rounded Epigeneium [refers to the lateral lobes of the lip]
Flower Size 1.6 to 1.8" [4 to 4.5 cm]
Found in the eastern Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, Myanmar and China on trees and shaded rocks at elevations of 1300 to 2400 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with 1.6 to 4" [4 to 10 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, oblong-ellliptic, notched apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a single flowered inflorescence with nearly as long as the ovary, lanceolate, subacute, membraneous floral bract
