Common Name The Mirrored Epigeneium [refers to the shiny callus on the lip]
Flower Size .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm]
Found in Borneo in hill forests and lowland montane forests at elevations of 400 to 1300 meters as a warm to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial in mossy clumps with a long creeping rhizome with 2.4" [6 cm] between each ovate to oblong-elliptic, obtusely 4 angled, dark olive green pseudobulb enveloped in youth by an obtuse cataphyl and carrying 2, apical, oblong to oblong-elliptic to elliptic, obtuse, shallowly retuse, tough, leathery, adaxial suface minutely rugulose, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on 1 to 2, 2 to 4.4" [5 to 11 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with ovate acute floral bracts and carrying sweetly scented flowers
