Common Name or Meaning The Three Calli Epigeneium

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found only in Sabah and Brunei, Borneo in lower montane and ridge-top forests at elevations of 800 to 2100 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cold growing, creeping epiphyte and sometimes scrambling terrestrial with a woody, scrambling to creeping rhizome enveloped by scarious, reddish brown sheaths with 1/2 to 4" [1.25 to 10 cm] between each irregularly 4 angled, shiny yellow, deeply rugose, adpressed to the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, spreading, rigid, thick, leathery, midvein sulcate above, carinate below, slighly revolute margins, oblong-elliptic to ligulate-lanceolate, obtuse, minutely obliquely bilobed apically, petiolate basally leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on a terminal, short, 2 to 3 flowered, sessile, fractiflex inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts.
