Found only in western Sumatra at elevations around 800 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a hard and woody, creeping rhizome giving rise to well spaced, ovate-coniacal, quadrangular pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, oblong to strap shaped, shortly to unequally bilobed apically , narrowing basally into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the mid winter on a terminal, longer than the leaves, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence. .
