Common Name Kock's Epidendrum [Canadian Nurseryman Current]

Found in southern Ecuador and Peru? at elevations around 2700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with fleshy, laterally compressed, short stems completely enveloped by 2 imbricating sheaths and carrying 2, fleshy-succulent, elliptic, green, margins and undersides tinged with purple leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, on a mature stem, occuring only once, peduncle erect, laterally compressed, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, simultaneously 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
