Common Name The White Heart-Shaped Lip Epidendrum
Flower Size 2 to 2 1/2" [5 to 6.25 cm]
A large sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic herb low down on tree trunks from elevations of sealevel to 1000 meters that occurs in Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras in low altitude tropical forests with slender stems that are leafy in the apical half with alternate, elliptic to lanceolate, acute or obtuse, lusterous deep green leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, less than 3" [7.5 cm]long, fractiflex, few flowered raceme with fragrant, waxy flowers borne in succession.
