Found in Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil often in trees of coastal swamps as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, simple, furrowed with age, cane-like stems carrying 3 to 5, towards the apex, erect, slightly fleshy, more or less oblong, tapering at both ends leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, paniculate, arching to pendulous, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, sparsely successively branching, each branch 6 to 10 flowered 20 to 30 flowered ovedrall inflorescence arising on leafy and immature stems and carrying waxy flowers.
