Common Name The Rio Panteon Mayu Epidendrum [A river in central Bolivia]

Found in Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, subterete stems enveloped by purple, uppermost foliaceous sheaths carrying evanescent, narrowly ovate, long acuminate leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, without developed basal bracts, racemose, pendulous, to 4” [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying light maroon flowers with a tint of rose.
