Common Name Norden's Epipactis [Austrian Botanist and discoverer of species current]

Found in Germany, Czechloslovakia, Austria, Hungary and Italy in damp old growth, oak/alder-riverine woodlands and oak/hornbeam woods at elevations up to 400 meters as a mini-miniature to rarely medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with an isolated, flexuous, robust, near haielss and washed red at the base, green and densly hairy at the tip stem carrying 1 to 4, in 2 opposite rows, dark green to yellowish-green, strongly veined, spreading-arched, soft, orbicular to oval, undulate margined cauline leaves and uppermost 1 to 2 bract-like leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on a terminal, erect, relatively lax, 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence carrying short-lived flowers
