Found in Amazonas department of Peru on a windswept plateau with isolated elfin forests at elevations around 2100 meters as a small sized, cold growing, scrambling terrestrial with frequently branching leafy towards the apex, cane-like, terete, stems carrying linear, acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, arising through a clasping, tubular spathe, racemose, erect, ocurring only once, 7.2” [18 cm] long, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence with linear, acuminate floral bracts and carrying resupinate, white flowers.
