Found only in Crimea of Russia as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial that with an erect, smooth stem carrying few few, ovate, acute, basally clasping leaves blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, erect, mostly one sided, lower bracts as long as the flowers, 2.8 to 7.2" [7 to 18 cm] long, 5 to 25 flowered inflorescence
