Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in Rio de Janiero State of Brazil on north facing granite slopes fully exposed to the elements at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a large to giant sized, warm growing terrestrial or lithophyte with sturdy, erect, stiff stems carrying dark green, alternate, broadly ovate, extremely stiff, leathery, mildly keeled leaves that blooms in the late winter through spring on 1 to 5, terminal, to sub-terminal, short to 2.4" [6 cm] long, densely 15 to 50 flowered inflorescence.
