Found in northeastern French Guiana at low elevations as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with fusiform, slightly compressed above pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 3, apical, sub-coriaceous, green slightly suffused with maroon, oblanceolate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, peduncle cylindrical, .64" [1.6 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 sterile, triangular, cucullate bracts, 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm] long, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence with a floral bract shorter than the apical sterile bract and carrying glabrous, resupinate flowers.
