Common Name The Mato Grosso Epistephium [A state of Brazil]
Flower Size 3.8 to 5.6” [12 to 14 cm]
Found in Mato Grosso Brazil at elevations of 100 to 300 meters as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect, somewhat sinuous stem carrying ovate-cordate to ovate lanceolate above, reticulate veined, obtuse to acuminate, amplexicaul below into the cordate bsae leaf that blooms on a terminal, 8 to 14” [20 to 35 cm] long, successively 1 to few, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with small triangular floral bracts and carrying large, ornamental, rose with yellowy-white on the center of the lip and much darker along the edges.
