Common Name The Small Flowered Epipstephium
Flower Size .8" [1.2 cm]
Found in Trinidad & Tobago, Surinam, Fr Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia and Brazil at elevations of 90 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing bush-like terrestrial orchid with an erect stem carrying ovate-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the attenuate, shortly pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal to axillary, erect, 4 to 4.8” [10 to 12 cm] long,racemose, successively single, 8 to 10 flowered inflorescence with triangular-ovate, somewhat patent, concave floral bracts.
