Found in Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil on trees near river banks at elevations around 200 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with slender, erect to suberect stems enveloped completely by leafless and leaf bearing sheaths and carrying in the upper quarter, lightly coriaceous, rather soft, mid nerve sulcate, dorsally only lightly indicated, lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms on a terminal, peduncle very short, arising through small, imbricating sheaths, rachis short, rather laxly few flowered inflorescence.
