Found in Mato Grosso Brazil as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with fleshy roots and a short rhizome giving rise to an erect, somewhat sinuous, slightly angled leafy stem carrying ovate-elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, 9 to 11 nerved, larger grading smaller above leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, laxly, 8 to 14” [20 to 35 cm] long, successively single, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence with small triangular floral bracts. .
