Common Name The Rigid Flowered Epidendrum

Found in Cauca department of Colombia at elevations around 3500 meters as giant sized, cold growing epiphyte with cane-like, few branching stems carrying erect-spreading to sub spreading, narrow to ligulate-oblong, obtuse, rigidly coriaceous, glabrous leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, fleshy, peduncle 3 to 4 bracted, to 2.4" [6 cm] long, rachis cylindrical, 4 to 4.4" [10 to 11 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with fleshy, spreading, decurved apically, elliptic, acuminate, as long as the flowers floral bracts and carrying thickly fleshy, glabrous flowers without color and fragrance data.
