Found in Sulawesi in montane forests on steep slopes in large moss pads on trees above rivers at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with tall pseudobulbs carrying 4 to 6 leaves and blooms in the later fall and winter with 1 to 3, erect, many flowered inflorescence
