Common Name or Meaning Clemen's Eria [Joseph Clemens (1862–1936) and his wife Mary Strong Clemens (1873–1969 Americans and original collectors of the type]

Found in Sabah Borneo in forests at elevations around 915 meters as a medium to larger sized, warm growing epiphyte with aslender, slightly compressed, elliptic in cross section stem carrying ligulate-oblanceolate, apex inequally subacutely to acutely bilobed, thinly coriaceous, 11 veined leaves that blooms in the late summer and eqarly fall on an axillary, slender, to .88" [2.2 cm] long overall, peduncle .4" [1 cm] long, rachis .48" [1.2 cm] long, laxly 4 flowered inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying cream colored flowers.

"This species resembles E. leptocarpa but differs from it in having more slender stems, cream coloured (vs. externally yellow flowers speckled with brown, inside pale straw yellow) flowers, broader, curved petals, a smooth (not with a broad furfuraceous band) labellum epichile, and keels that are only raised apically (vs. lamellate throughout)."
