Found in Java in primary forests at elevations of 2000 to 2300 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with ovate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong-lanceolate, thick leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a more or less 8" [20 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence
