Found in Xizang province of China as a miniature sized epiphyte with a stout rhizome giving rise to tufted, straightto slightly curved, cylindric, 3 to 5 noded, rigded when dry pseydobulbs carrrying 3 apical, oblong-obloanceolate to narrowly elliptic, papery, acuminate, petioalte base leaves that blooms in the summer on an arising from the upper part of the pseudobulb, to 2" [5 cm] long, glabrous, rachis with stripes, many flowered inflorescence with sometimes turning black, ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, margin coliate floral bracts
