Flower Size 3/8 to 1/2" [1 to 1.2 cm]
Found in Burma, India, Sikkim, Thailand to Laos and Vietnam in broadleaf, evergreen, lowland forests at elevations of 50 to 1800 meters as a dwarf, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongated creeping, fleshy rhizome carrying a pseudobulb with 2 to 3 apical, suborbicular, or elliptic, to obovate-elliptic, obtuse, bluish green, very hairy leaves that blooms on a terminal, short, terete, pilose, single flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute bracts with hairy flowers externally occuring in the summer. Mounted on tree fern, cork or hard coconut husk suits this miniature species as well as high humidity, good air circulation and constant year round water.
