Found in the Philippines at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with leafy, rigid, green, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying linear, leathery, tapering acute apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on 3 to 5, terminal, purple, erect, rachis hairy, to 8" [20 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with linear, reflexed, acuminate, acute floral bracts and carrying flowers covered by a fine whitish pubescence
