Found in Java and Sumatra at elevations of 1500 to 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with an elongate, slightly compressed stem carrying 5 to 7, lanceolate, acute, narrowing basally leaves that bloom in the summer on a dense and many flowered, to 5.2" [13 cm] long, pubescent inflorescence
