Common Name The Grand Eria

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found only in Malaysia in highlands as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, fleshy, thick, flattened, elongate stem with 3 to 5, foliaceous, yellowish green sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, stalked, oblong to oblanceolate, acute leaves that blooms on 1 to 2, axillary, erect, long pedunculate, 16.8" [42 cm] long overall, several flowered inflorescence with large, conspicuous, ovate to broadly lanceoalte, acute, green flushed with purple floral bracts.

CAUTION ALL Photos on the net are not this species. The true E elata has a trilobed lip apex and is not acute!!!!!!!!!!! The Photo above is absolutely correct!!!!!!!
