Common Name The Sphere-Shaped Eria [refers to the pseudobulbs]

Found in Vietnam in lowland and highland, primary montane forests at elevations of 800 to 2200 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte occuring high in tall trees near streams or as a lithophyte on mossy limestone rocks with clustered to repent, globose pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, linear-oblong leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an apical, one to few flowered racemose inflorescence subtended by a brown sheath and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
