Found in New Caledonia as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte on rocks in streams with a chain of small, often leafless, ovoid, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, deciduous, elliptic, rounded apically leaf that blooms in the spring on a short single flowered inflorescence
