Found on Davao and Leyte Islands in the Philippines at elevations of 660 to 1300 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with leafy, elongate, robust stems carrying leathery, narrowly lanceolate, acute leaves with flattened sheaths that blooms in the spring on up to 6, wooly, to 12" [30 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with minute, back bent, lanceolate, acute floral bracts.
