Found in southern Vietnam in primary broad-leaved, evergreen forests at elevations of 1400 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, thin, insignificant rhizome giving rise to thick, fleshy, clavate, slightly flattened pseudobulbous stems carrying 2 to 4, arching, rather thin, herbaceous, oblong-oblanceolate to broadly oblanceolate, narrowing below into the sessile base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, arising vertically from the node near the apex of the stem, to 4" [10 cm] long, as long as the leaves or longer, peduncle light green to almost white, .6 to 2.4" [1.6 to 6 cm] long, naked, white villous, rachis .2 to 1.6" [.5 to 4 cm] long, white wooly hairy, lax, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with narrowly triangular, acuminate, concave, light yellow-greenish to dull yellowish, almost glabrous, much longer than the ovary floralb racts and carrying spirally arranged, widely opening flowers.
