Found in Sumatra, Borneo and the Lesser Sunda Islands as a medium sized epiphyte with flattened, broad stems enveloped by acute basal sheaths and carrying lanceolate, acute, leathery leaves that blooms on a terminal, longer than the leaves,minutely pubescent, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, with a bristle at the apex, refelexed, glabrous floral bracts
