Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with flexuous, glabrous rhizome giving rise to simple, strict to substrict, terete leafy pseudobulbs carrying erect-patent, fleshy, incurved margins, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on 1 to 2, apical, erect, shorter than the leaves, sublaxly 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white with a red spotted lip.
