Found in Assam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and southern Yunnan China on trees in sparse woods at elevations of 200 to 1500 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying up to 3, linear, soft, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, pubescent, 2" [5 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence
