Found in western Sumatra at elevations around 1600 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with nearly cylindrical, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying 3 apical, strap-shaped, obtuse, narrowing basally leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, 3.2 to 3.6" [8 to 9 cm] long, nearly cylindrical, densely reddish hairy, densely many flowered inflorescence.
