Common Name The Yunnan Eria - in China Dian nan ping lan

Flower Size

Found in southern Yunnan province of China on rocks along valleys at elevations around 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with ellipsoid, 2 noded pseudobulbs carrying on or above the middle 1 smaller narrowly ovate leaf and 3 to 4, much larger narrowly oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate, acuminate apically attenuate below intot he petiolate base leaves above that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, subterminal, suberect, 1.8 to 3" [4.5 to 7.5 cm] long overall, rachis sparsely rusty puberrulent, many flowered inflorescence with reflexed, brown, lanceolate, membraneous, much longer than the ovary floral bracts.
