Found in east central Mozambique in coastal vegetation at elevations around 7 meters as a large sized, hot growing epiphyte with subterranean tuber giving rise to a cylindrical, leafy stem carrying linear, acute, stiff, glabrous leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, lax, racemose to paniculate, several to many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, erect to spreading, acuminate floral bracts and carrying spreading flowers without color data
