Found in Swaziland and Transvaal South Africa in open sunny grasslands between rocks at elevations of 200 to 1600 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with narrow grass like leaves that are partly developed at anthesis and blooms in the spring on an erect, laxly 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence carrying faintly fragrant flowers.
