Found in Transvaal South Africa on rocky quartzite ridges at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with narrow grass like leaves that are partly to fully developed at anthesis and blooms in the late spring on an erect, laxly 6 to 16 flowered inflorescence.
