Common Name The Finger Carrying Eulophia [Refers to the papillae on the lip]

Found in Zambia and Zimbabwe in open areas of woodland at elevations around 600 to 1000 meters as a large sized, warm growing terrestrial with subterranean, obliquely conical tubers in a short chain giving rise to 4 to 5, lowest 2 sheath like, the uppers ovate, acute, undulate margin leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, to 26" [65 cm] long, rather laxly many [to 30] flowered inflorescence .
