Common Name The Whole Lipped Eulophia [refers to the lobeless lip]

Found in southeastern Madagascar along banks of peat bogs and lakes at elevations up to 200 meters as a miniature to medium sized, hot growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with tubers without leaves giving rise in the spring to an erect, thin, several distant sheathed, 5.2 to 16" [13 to 40 cm] long, racemose to paniculate, 6 to 18 flowered inflroescence with lanceolate-acuminate, much shorter thant he ovary floral bracts
