Found in Madagascar in open forests on exposed areas of rocks at elevations of sea level to 1500 meters as a hot to cool growing terrestro-lithophyte with ovoid-suconical, adpressed pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, narrowly linear, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a newly maturing pseudobulb on a paniculate, loosely diffuse, many flowered inflorescence with distant, thin, adpressed and acumiante bracts and has linear-acute floral bracts
