Found in Tanazania, Angola and Zambia in dry woodlands oftenafter fires at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with unknown subterranean, tubers giving rise to a stem carrying 2 to 3, linear, green, poorly developed at flowering leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, terminal, to 6.4" [to 16 cm] long, laxly to about 8 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary, lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying spreading flowers with golden brown tepals with maroon lines a green and gold lip with a bright mauve-pink margi to the midlobe.
