Common Name Elizabeth's Eulophiella [Queen of Romania late 1800's]

Found in eastern Madagascar at elevations of 200 to 900 meters in forests as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with fusiform-oblong, pseudobulbs carrying 4 to 5, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, basally attenuate and petiolate leaves that blooms in the springon a basal, 14" to 18" [35 to 45 cm long, racemose, 12 to 15 flowered inflorescence with wine red, obovate-oblong, obtuse concave floral bracts and carrying waxy, longlasting, fragrant flowers.
