Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in southwestern India in short grasslands in muddy clayey soils as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with 2 to 4, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, acute leaves that appear before blooming in the late fall and winter on an erect, 6 to 18" [15 to 45 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with persistent, oblong-lanceolate, acute floral bracts.

CAUTION The drawing above does not make clear that the lip is trilobed apically.
