Found in Natal and Transvaal states of South Africa in high altitude grasslands at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing, slender terrestrial with just emerging to partly deveoped at flowering leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, peduncle with loosely clasping sheaths, vewry densely 9 to 18 flowered inflorescence.
