Found in Rio de Janiero Brazil in wet humid forestsat elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with 4 to 6, basal, in a rosette, glabroue, elliptic-lanceoalte, acute, undulate margined, attenuate to the canaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an arcuate-descending, 2.4 to 2.8" [6 to 7 cm] long overall, rachis short, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence with 4, lanceolate, acute, undulate margined, sterile bracts, plus a fifth basal one and with large, very shortly ciliate, sub-triangular floral bracts.
