Found in Costa Rica on small mossy branches of trees along a roadside in secondary forest at elevations around 750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with fleshy, fusuform roots giving rise to 8 to 9, rosulate at the base, elliptic to oblanceolate, acute, margin ciliate, light green, adaxially glossy, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring on adensely congested, appearing capitate, peduncle 3" [7.5 cm] long, pendent, pubescent, provided with 2, ciliate margin sheathing bracts, rachis [.7 cm] long, 5 to 10 or more flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, acute to acumiante, conduplicate, lacerate, green, brownish at apex at least three times longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, erect, tubular, non-resupinate flowers with the dorsal sepal brown, the tepals white and the lip is white with a brownish green apex.
"The species is similar to Eurystyles auriculata and Eurystyles standleyi, but it differs in the smaller plants to 1.2" [3 cm] tall, smaller leaves less than .64" [1.6 cm] long, flowers with a brown dorsal sepal and brown lip apex, callose petals and a pandurate lip." Bogarin 2020
