Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a stem-like, terete, rigid rhizome giving rise to compressed, narrowly elliptic pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, subcoriaceous, ovate-lanceolate, acute, apiculate, basally round leaf that blooms in the early summer on an erect, successively single, few flowered inflorescence

Schlechter states that the flowers are pale yellow.
