Common Name The Circular Lip Galearis - In China Luan Chun Kui Hua Lan

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in western Siberia, Japan, Korea and Heilongiang, Jilin and northeastern Qinghaiin states of China in forests and scrub at elevations of 1000 to 2900 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a slender stem with 1 to 2, tubular, membraneous basal sheaths and carrying a green, broadly elliptic, broadly ovate to suborbicular, thickly textured, obtuse to obtuse rounded, abruptly contracted below into the conduplicate sheath base leaf that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, slender, 2 to 5" [5 to 12.5 cm] long, rachis branching at the apex, 1 to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence with subopposite, oblong-lanceolate to narrowly ovate, obtuse to subacute apically floral bracts.
