Found in central Taiwan in forests and bamboo plantations at elevations of 30 to 40 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial without leaves with a yellowish brown, fusiform, pilose rhizome with scales at the nodes giving rise in the fall to an erect, brown, fleshy, densely noded, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, densely 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate, shorter than the pedicel, acute apically floral bracts
